Spring Season is here

We had some lovely, sunny and breezy conditions for racing this weekend. Results for The Captains Cup and Spring series are available to view on the website. We also had a good turnout for the Grand National on Saturday afternoon.

There is no racing scheduled next weekend due to later tide times. Racing for Hawk and handicap fleets resumes the following weekend (27th & 28th April). We also hope to see the Cockle fleet out on the water on Sunday 28th for their season opener. We will, of course, be serving breakfast after racing on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are an RYA instructor (AI, DI, SI etc) and interested in working with the sail training team this summer, there is still time to apply online. If you are under 18 years old, please ask a parent to sign in and apply on your behalf. If you are over 18, please email Alex to get set up with your own login. Applications can be made until 30th April.

As the racing and social events ramp up, you may be interested in joining one of our many active What's App groups. There are groups for Laser, Laser 2000, WoW (Women on the Water), Swallows and Amazons, Cruisers, Hawks and Cockles. If you'd like to be added to any of these, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will forward your mobile number to the appropriate person.

We are forecast some strong wind for today and tomorrow but once this has passed, we do need everyone who has boats parked in sheltered areas around the clubhouse to move to their correct positions in the dinghy park. Please refer to the map on the website also posted by the front door. We hope to have the metal tags to mark the parking places and stickers for your boats very soon.

Our next race coaching event is planned for the May bank holiday weekend (which is now 2 short weeks away). We don't yet have enough interest for this event to go ahead so please let us know if you would like to come, as soon as possible, by signing up on our booking page.

The clubhouse will also be open for extended bank holiday hours and you should stay alert for news of our latest offers at the bar...
