As you can see, the weather continues to be glorious, temperatures here are quite mild and the evenings are now getting noticeably lighter. Ten boats from the Wayfarer Association enjoyed a stunning morning sail to Burnham Overy on Saturday morning and met some BSSC Wayfarer sailors for breakfast in the clubhouse afterwards.

We had another busy lunch on Sunday followed by live screening of the 2nd England game (against Italy) in the Guinness 6 Nations Championship. The next England match, against Wales will be shown in the clubhouse on Saturday 25th February at 16:45, we will be open for drinks from 16:00. Our online calendar shows all the details of upcoming social events.

There is one week remaining to book for our murder mystery evening on Friday 24th February we do need to close bookings on Monday 20th February. This is an interactive "whodunit" evening, tickets are £30 per person and includes a three course buffet and a glass of prosecco. On Sunday 26th February, Peter Harvey will be joining us for lunch. He is the author of Imray's new pilot book 'Norfolk, the Wash and Humber, Lowestoft to Spurn Point', which included an entry on Brancaster. Staithe. He will be making an after lunch presentation about the development of the book along with some tips about sailing in the Wash and the Humber. If you'd like to come along to hear the talk, you can pop into the clubhouse around 14:30pm or book for one of the later slots to join us for roast topside of beef or roast loin of pork.

We have received notification from the Highways Maintenance department that a road closure has been applied for on Monday 27^th and Tuesday 28^th February 2023 from 8 am to 4pm daily. A signed diversion will be in place during this time and access to Harbour Way and the Clubhouse "may be disrupted".

If you need a new boat parking space, please get in touch directly and we can add you to the waiting list.

One big point of feedback from the members' survey was the need to upgrade clubhouse furniture. We have lots of ideas but would love to hear from anyone with professional experience in interior design to really help us make the best use of the beautiful space we have. If this is your area of expertise and you can spare a couple of hours of your time, we'd absolutely love to hear from you.
