Sailing Week tickets are available book online only until midnight tomorrow (Tuesday 1st). If you have any difficulty with the booking process, please get in touch either by email or phone the mobile number (07747 597902). The Sailing Week Briefing is at 2pm on Sunday 6th August. There is a "Need to Know" guide on the website. Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, Risk Assessment and the Need to Know are all available to download. All participants should read all of these documents before sailing week. Here are a few key reminders: British Standards approved buoyancy aids must be worn at all times when racing/on the water. Parents are fully responsible for ensuring that their children are correctly equipped. Mast head floats are highly recommended for harbour fleets. A small (9 litre) float is suitable for single handed boats and a larger (40 litre) float for double handed boats is recommended. Sign-on and off: All competitors are required to sign-on in the marquee before the race start. Sign-on closes 30 mins before race start. Harbour fleet racers (excluding Cockles) are also required to sign-off on their return from sailing each day, on the hard. The Hog Roast on Tuesday 8th still has tickets available. These will be sold online and in the bar until midday on Thursday 3rd August. Fancy Dress competition for the Mirror fleet will be on Wednesday 9th. There is a (much coveted) prize for the winning team and bragging rights for a whole year are priceless! BBQ and junior disco on Thursday 10th also has tickets available online and in the bar until midday Tuesday 8th. Sailing week trophies must be returned (nice & clean please) by Sunday 6th August. Prize Giving will be on Friday 11th after racing (time TBC). The Big Summer Party. This year we are thrilled to be offering an evening of fun and dancing! A cold buffet will be served in the marquee from 18:30 and The Nod will be playing 2 sets starting at 20:00. The whole clubhouse will be open and all ages are welcome to the biggest party of the year! Tickets are available online until Thursday 10th August. Volunteers for any of the events above are most welcome (please contact Alex). We also need a few able bodies to assist moving boats from the dingy park after racing on Saturday 5th August to make way for the marquee. We are open EVERYDAY until the end of August: Below is our new August menu, there will also be specials on the blackboard changing regularly plus sweet and savoury bar snacks available all day, please do ask staff what is available. If you have any questions regarding special dietary requirements please ask us when ordering your food. We expect to be extremely busy this August, so please book your table by email and arrive on time. A pre order will be needed for tables of more than 6 people. We do hope to see you all soon. | ||
