HRH Princess Anne, Richard Burrows - NCI, Analisa Dovey - Parish Clerk, Sarah Kemp - BSSC Commodore, Katherine - RWNGC, Katie Anthony - Brancaster Village

Princess Anne came to Brancaster Staithe last week. She made a visit to the new NCI (National Coastwatch Institution) station to hear all about the amazing work they do throughout the year. National Coastwatch is a critical part of UK Search and Rescue. They work alongside the Coastguard, the RNLI and other emergency services to assist in the protection and saving of life at sea and along the coastline of England and Wales.

Their location, in front of RWNGC is invaluable for monitoring walkers who could get cut off by an incoming tide and they watch over our sailing and racing activities at sea.

Next Sunday is the first cruiser lunch for 2025. If you would like to join this social lunch, please book by email.

The BSSC webcam has come to the end of its natural life. A replacement is on order and we hope that it will arrive soon to be fitted and begin streaming live in even better quality than before. We know you miss it.

There are many members who have not yet renewed their membership for 2025. According to club rules, membership subscription becomes due on 1st January. The General Committee will be looking at a list of members who have not completed their renewal at their next meeting on 28th January. To renew your membership and pay your invoice online, simply login into the members hub. Your renewal is not complete until your invoice is paid.

The online calendar for race fixtures and duty roster has now been completely loaded to the website and I'm delighted to say that the duty roster continues to fill up nicely. For busy on water events in the summer months, you will see the title Other Volunteer Rib. If you are the owner of a rib and can offer your services for any of these duties, we would love to hear from you by email. All members are expected to fulfil one on water duty each year (unless physically unable), if you have a boat parking space, we expect you to complete 2 on water duties. Please email if you have any questions about signing up.

We are open for lunch this Sunday, if you would like to join us, please email to book if you can.
