Launching weekend

The weather here continues to be sunny and dry. If you have been to the club to deliver a boat this week, you will have noticed how cold the wind has been, there was even frost on the ground this morning. We want to say a big thanks to Stephen Harvey, Chris Spink, Charlie Parfitt, Bruce Kemp and Magnus Medcalf for setting the harbour buoys in extremely chilly temperatures, ready for racing this Saturday at 07:00!
The final spaces have been allocated within the dinghy park now. Parking stickers will be available for collection from this weekend. Please check your parking place for this year in the members hub, just look for "my boats and berths" and you will find the correct space listed next to your boat(s) or pop in and ask us.
Are you considering booking a private party at BSSC?
On Friday 11th April we will be showcasing our selection of food from the brand new fine dining menu. From 17:30 until 19:00 we will be offering canapés that reflect a sample selection of dishes from our menu. Of course, you'll be wanting wine at your event too, so we will also be offering every wine on our wine list by the glass at very special prices!
If you have a celebration coming up, you should definitely come along for this social evening. To register your interest, please email the_clubhouse@bssc.net
A dinner service will follow on from 19:00 - 20:30 with a menu on the specials board

On Saturday we will be serving Breakfast after racing from 08:00 - 09:00 which is still free of charge to all safety boat crews. As it's sooooo early, we will extend the free breakfast to all race participants (only on Saturday).

A lunch service will be available from 12:00 - 14:30 and "Afternoon tea" from 15:00 - 17:00
This is your last chance to enter a team for this Saturday's launching supper. We will be starting the sailing season with a quiz hosted by James Watson and a buffet supper.
Teams will be seated at tables of 6 to 8 people. So far, 8 teams have entered and we do have space for more! If you wish to enter but don't have enough players, please let me know and we can help you put a team together.
Entry closes Wednesday 9th April.
On Sunday, we will serve breakfast from 08:30 - 09:30 and Lunch from 12:00 - 14:45.
Next Tuesday 15th there will be a General Committee meeting so please have any emails of support for new members to Karenby this weekend.
We have already taken a lot of bookings for Easter weekend, so if you wish to dine at the clubhouse over the holiday, we recommend booking your table by email the_clubhouse@bssc.net to avoid disappointment.
