It seems like everyone is excited about getting out on the water. Members are welcome to bring their boats to the dinghy park. Now would be the perfect moment to make sure your kit still fits you, life jackets are in good order (serviced if they are the inflatable type), boat insurance is up to date and any winter repairs are complete.

Racing begins on Saturday 12th April - a full schedule can be found online.

On Saturday 5th April we will be launching Afternoon tea. Tables can be booked from 14:30 to 17:30. The teatime spread will include a selection of luxury filled sandwiches made with homemade focaccia bread, homemade Norfolk pork & herb sausage rolls, home baked savoury and sweet scones, a selection of home baked cakes, pastries and biscuits. For £19.50 per person, we will also include bottomless tea and coffee. You can make the afternoon even more fun by adding alcoholic beverages from the bar such as Prosecco, Aperol, Pimms and Rosé (at additional charge).

On Friday 11th April we will be showcasing our selection of food from the brand new fine dining menu. From 17:30 until 19:00 we will be offering canapés that reflect a sample selection of dishes from our menu. If you are considering booking a small dinner party with an elevated dining experience, you should come along and taste what will be on offer.

At lunchtime on Good Friday 18th April, we will be offering a special seafood platter - perfect for sharing. You will also be able to get £5 off a bottle of Minuty between 13:00 and 14:00.

We have received the following updates from Natural England:

The Scolt Head island warden will be returning on the 2nd of April and they are aiming to put the fences on the western end (the Ternery) during the 2nd week in April.

The Island dog restrictions will begin, as usual, on the 15th of April.

Due to the recent collision off the Hull coastline, there is a warning of pollution incidents, particularly plastics. The size range varies from "big" (the size of a car) to tiny beads called nurdles. Care should be taken as they may be coated in kerosene and/or could have melted. Any pollution incidents should be reported to the MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) who are leading the clean up effort on 0239 255 2100 or the coastguards. More information on this can be found at https://hmcoastguard.uk/news/updates-vessels-incident-coast-east-yorkshire
