Lots of dates for the junior members coming up.

We had a great turnout for racing this weekend. With some Sharpies joining in the Summer points on Saturday to get race ready for the Euros in a few weeks' time. Unfortunately, the Roger Atkins Round the Island didn't go ahead due to engine trouble with Friends Rib. Race officer Joel set a lovely course stretching from Tern to Nod, taking in the views at Cockle, Line, More »

Weekend 12th / 13th July

We're still enjoying gorgeous weather (I'm never going to get tired of saying this). A little rain has been very welcome but the sunshine and high temperatures are making life extremely pleasant. Fingers crossed for enough wind this weekend. Please note an error in Monday's email: Participants and instructors for sail training are offered a complimentary BBQ ticket valid on Wednesday 30th July. These tickets will need to be collected from the bar (along More »

A variety of sailing conditions

We've had more mixed weather here on the coast and our gardens have certainly been thankful for the small amount of rain that we've received. It's set to be really hot again by the end of the week. Fingers crossed for some good conditions for Round The Island race on Sunday. Anybody who likes sailing in strong winds had a fun time on Saturday's Collins Cup. Congratulations Paddy and Kiki for winning the Hawk More »

windy, gusty or not very windy, we've had it all

We've also had a lovely write up in Yachts and Yachting from our 2000, single hander and asymmetric weekend. Here is the link to the article, well done again to everyone who helped make this event such a success. The first half of last week was very windy but the wind dropped right down to allow lots of members to enjoy a beautiful evening sail on Wednesday. Please check out our More »

What a Weekend!

We had 8 visiting Laser 2000s and 5 visiting single hander sailors plus 19 club boats participating in this weekend's Asymmetric, 2000 and single hander event. We had glorious hot sunshine on Saturday with little wind, which turned into no wind. Just as the Race offices we're about throw their clipboards in the sea, a tiny breeze from the opposite direction arrived and a 2nd race was achievable. On Sunday it was a completely different story, with 20-30kts More »

Glorious Sunshine

We've had beautiful sunshine all weekend and, fingers crossed, it's set to stay for a whlie. Many congratulations to all our members who took part in (and all those who provided support for) Norfolk Super Heros 2025. If you look down the results lists you'll see a lot of familiar names. Special mentions to Charlie Tyler and Honor De Winton for winning the Dame Edna Trophy for fastest More »
